Our front window needs to be replaced. The seal has broken between the glass. So - an opportunity to update the look of the flat front. A nice bay window would give Dexter the Cat a nice place to lay in the sun in the morning. Thanks to Randy for his Photoshop skills. Now - how about his carpentry skills?!

The dining room
The dining room - Laura helped get the ugly flowered wall paper off. Dad joined us for our first big holiday at our new home!

April 2012 - we have ripped up all that nasty grey carpet and have installed oak flooring. It took two Saturdays to complete a 10 x 10 dining room. Boomer was terrified of the power nailer that we rented from The Home Depot! He sat with Dad on the couch. Next - trim! The door frames are not trimmed out and we decided this would be a nice upgrade.

The flooring is all in and the kitties are enjoying it. Now Randy is working on the floor trim and framing up the doorway between the dining room and living room. It will be nice upgrade for our home.

good bye fireplace
March 4, 2012: Randy decided it was time to remove the fireplace bricks before the new carpet is installed tomorrow morning. It took about 5 minutes to get the hearth bricks off.
Then about six hours to repair the rotten wood and paint.
Did I mention paint? It took a few weeks and a krajillion paint samples. We final

Two days to go!
We are two days away from the move. It's about 99 degrees in the shade - lots of sweating going on. We've made about 15 trips in our vans so far and filled the new garage. Wednesday at 9 is the walkthrough of our buyer; our walkthrough is at 11.
The girls and I have all been dreaming about our decorating challenge - Laura has her room all planned, I'm pretty sure I can talk Randy into the same green in our bedroom, and Ellen is still undecided. Not sure what will spark her color palette.
It's a clean slate on what to do! After all the wallpaper is removed! Any suggestions on how to it off and then ready for painting?
